An elegant, graceful and versatile wine, reminiscent of a quote by Federico Fellini: “A good wine is like a good movie: it lasts a mere moment and leaves a taste of glory”.
The vineyard
The vineyard is nestled into the San Michele hill, 200 metres above sea level, in a south-eastern location characterised by the so-called “marogne – dry stone walls typical for the region. The lime-stone rich, skeletal soil is perfect for enduring red wines.

The winemaking

The wine
A brilliant ruby red colour with an aroma of red fruits such as red and Marasca cherries; a mix of delicately sweet yet spicy notes reminiscent of cocoa, nutmeg and vanilla. An intriguing, smooth and very elegant wine.
Food pairing
Medium-aged cheeses; cured meats, even spicy and slightly ‘fattier’ ones; fresh pasta with a hearty minced meat sauce, even from game; risotto; red meat; Also highly suitable for oily fish such as eel, sardines or anchovies.
